Olympus introduced on the OM1 the innovative system for reading the light on the film plane and the revolutionary TTL system for automatic control of the flash light in communication with the camera.

Probably one of the best SLRs ever produced. With this model, Olympus managed to solve all the problems that SLRs had at the time, first of all their size.

A compact body with all the functions clearly visible when looking at the camera from above, a very large and bright viewfinder and, above all, very high quality but light and small optics.

completely mechanical, the 1.35v button battery only serves to power the exposure meter.

The MD version is designed for use with the motor winder.
