Horizontal sliding mechanical canvas shutter, shutter speed: from 1 sec to 1/1000 sec plus bulb, flash sync at 1/60 sec, K bayonet mount

It is a very simple machine but built to last, robust and reliable.

It works with an LR44 battery which only drives the exposure meter, otherwise it is completely mechanical.

The K1000 was a particularly successful product and remained in production for over twenty years, probably one of the longest-lasting SLR models.

This model was produced in Hong Kong and is completely metal unlike later productions built in China which had plastic parts.

Excellent aesthetic condition, working light meter, only a very small dent on the top and dust in the viewfinder, complete with shoulder strap and optics cap.
