Voigtländer VSL 1 (TM) Voigtländer Color-Ultron 50mm f1.8 lens

The Voigtländer VSL is a series of 35mm SLR bodies produced by Rollei in the 1970s and 1980s under the Voigtländer brand (which Rollei had taken over from Zeiss after the demise of the Zeiss Ikon in 1972).

Rollei continued production of the latest 35mm SLR developed by Zeiss Ikon, the SL706, calling it the Voigtländer VSL 1. It uses M42 screw mount lenses.

It's a pretty simple SLR, with a fixed prism and a through-the-lens (TTL) CdS meter

The very high quality Voigtländer Color-Ultron 50mm f1.8 lens is very similar to the Zeiss Planar 50mm f1.8.

The light meter uses 1.35 volt batteries but has been calibrated for the more common 1.5v.
